Ladies, gentlemen, and other nerds of Chicago, please enjoy our first of two episodes recorded at Cat & Mouse Game Store, who were fantastic hosts for the evening (and sold us lots of cool stuff!). To match our temporary new environment, we decided to ask people to use "Games" as their topic, and we got a lot of great stories!

You may not know this about me, but I love me some Superman. So last week when the Nerdologues teamed up with Chicago Loot Drop to riff on the classic Richard Donner Superman film, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get some cool cats together and talk about what the Man of Steel means to them. This is the first invitation-only Your Stories we ever did, and it was a ton of fun. Included here are great friends, bloggers, musicians, retailers, and even an Eisner Award-winning artist/writer. Big thanks to our guests for making it out and to all of you for listening. You Will Believe A Man Can Share A Great Story (TM).

Buckle up, podcast listeners, and bring your fire hoses.  This discussion with Ryan Ben about one of his favorite films is a total delight.  Even someone who doesn't know Ryan can get a good sense of his character from his breakdown of Backdraft.  He acknowledges its weaknesses and silliness while praising its themes and simplicity.  Get into it!

Hoop it up, dudes! My friend Brandon is an NBA fanatic who has faithfully followed the Chicago Bulls and the NBA in general for almost 20 years. He has a ton of incredible insight on the way the league has changed in that time and the way his own life has been affected by his love of the game.

'Ello govnas! Cheerio pip pip an' all dat!  I sat down with my friend Jay Bee Hanna to discuss his love for all things British: accents, culture, comedy, music, Doctor Who, etc.  It was a silly blast of a chat all will enjoy.

Here's a little preview of the next Your Stories episode. Dwight and I (also known as the band Cover Stories, yo) performed this song as part of Indie month, and it seemed like the perfect extra content for the holiday. True story, Team America is also my favorite movie. Enjoy, and come back on July 15 for the full episode.

Open your ears for the first music episode, nerds.  I sat down for a chitty-chat with friend and improv teammate Nick Johnson to discuss his favorite band, NOFX.  He's got a deep love for these guys, and it was really fun to unpack why.  Turns out Nick has been incredibly musically and artistically influenced by NOFX, and I think it shows in the best way.
