From the podcast

Stand up comedian/podcaster/documentarian Graham Elwood joins me for an excellent MBSing exploring one of his favorite film genres, crime and mob movies. Upon moving from Madison, Wisconsin, to Evanston, Illinois when he was 11, Graham garnered a unique perspective on the films as he watched mobsters and crooked cops rule the streets both on his family's newly-acquired color TV and in his new hometown of Chicago. Graham is not just a film enthusiast, he cohosts the Comedy Film Nerds podcast, cowrote The Comedy Film Nerds Guide to Movies, and has directed two documentary films, Laffghanistan about his multiple stand up tours for US troops in the Middle East and Ear Buds: The Podcasting Documentary set to be released in Spring of 2015. He was a total joy to talk films, Chicago, and life with, and he had some wonderful insights on how his life as a kid bouncing between privileged suburban kids and hard knock ruffians isn't all that different from his life as a touring stand up comic who also enjoys surfing and health food. Enjoy, nerds!
